Volunteer Inquiry

Volunteering is fun! Being a "Big Brother" or "Big Sister" is one of the most rewarding and enjoyable things you will ever do.

It's simple, too. You and your "Little" can share the kinds of activities you already like to do, such as:

  1. Shooting hoops
  2. Playing a board game
  3. Going on a hike
  4. Enjoying a pizza

You've been thinking about getting involved. Now you know the importance of volunteering, how easy it is and how much your help is needed. Why not apply to be a Big today?

To be a "Big Brother" or a "Big Sister"

  1. Adult, (minimum age of 18).
  2. For High School Big Brother or Sister in Batesville and Newport, a Sophomore or Junior when applying.
  3. Completes an application, attends an interview and training.
  4. We do a Criminal Background Check, a Child Registry Check and a Driving History Check on volunteers.
  5. We conduct character references calls.
  6. Upon completion of this process and acceptance as a "Big", that "Big" is matched with a child.

THANK YOU for your interest! You may submit the information below and you will be contacted shortly, or you may always call 501-336-9505. If you would like to begin the application process now, please refer to the Navigation Section and complete the Volunteer Enrollment form. Additional forms that can be completed ahead of time are the Volunteer Pre-Interview and the background checks: Motor Vehicle Check and Child Registry. These are all located in the Navigation section.
